A Great Trip Up to Joadja Estate Wineries

We took a lovely trip up to a winery inland. It was a beautiful drive and a nice little estate.

We also passed over an old and famous one-lane bridge on our way there. It was cool.

We got two very nice wines from the place.

And, Speaking of Falls

Well, well, well. For those of us who did not remember, Scott took a tumble over Memorial Day weekend. It posted the trip to Italy and put me in the hospital for a while. I was recovering fairly well when a hike that Ed and I took ended up with another fall.

The good news is that the hospital visit was inexpensive AND proved I didn't puncture a lung. Also, I could walk back on the trail in Australia, where the firefighters had to haul me out of our house in May.

The bad news is that I fell and screwed up my ribs again. So Eddie had to do the dog walks. He did not enjoy that.

This was taken - at Ed's suggestion - moments before the fall backwards

A cute view of my honey

Just hanging out

Tianjara Falls

One of the most lovely scenes in Australia was Tianjara Falls. It was right near the highway we took to a vineyard. Nice detour!

Granite Falls

After a while in one place, even if it is beautiful with dogs, you want a bit of a change. So one day we went down to Granite Falls. This was technically close to where we were staying, but it was quite a bumpy and gravelly road trip.

Anyway, it was an interesting little waterfall. There was water because it had rained recently. But it was an interesting hike because after a bit, you had to go down a long set of metal staircases. I was proud of Eddie for not being afraid, as it was quite high.

Hike around Warden Head lighthouse

Warden Head Lighthouse was quite near to our house-sit. It was a nice view and a little walk. The Aboriginal markings are new, but kept up by the native Australians. This area includes ancient burial grounds and gathering places.

Par3 at Mollyboork

Right near the house was a beautiful Par3 course. Mollybrook.

There were crazy birds everywhere, even on the course.

And so we arrive in Ulladulla

We got to Ulladulla after our stay in Sydney. Ulladulla is a town about 3 hours south of Sydney along the Ocean Road. It was a great drive and a cute little beach town.

Ed describes it as a Cape Cod Summer town in fall. The stores are open, but almost no one is visiting. For us, it was relaxing a great.

They had two dogs, one a rescue pit-style girl, and one a huge retired racing greyhound. The greyhound was done running.

The house was nice, with an ocean view from the deck. It was odd that they didn't close the downstairs door at night so the dogs could go in and out. The town was cute. There was a nice par3 golf course.

The weather the whole time was good for Ed and Scott; shorts and sweatshirts weather.
